Searching/Filtering for Items
In the search field of the Article Register, you can search for item numbers, barcodes, and descriptions. Articles that match the search criteria will be displayed. You can search for parts of the description, and matching items will be shown.
When you click in the search field, filtering options will also be displayed. By clicking on, e.g., Brand, you can see the brands available for filtering. Check the box for the brand whose items you want to filter.
Press "Clear" to remove the filtering.
How Items are Displayed
Items can be displayed either as a list or as a grid with larger images. You can choose this option in the search field, and it will be saved in the cash register.
Adding a Product to the Shopping Cart
Products can be added by scanning the barcode or manually via the item cards. For scanning, use a scanner to scan the barcode, and the item will be automatically added to the shopping cart.
IMPORTANT: You should NOT be in the search field when you want to add an item for purchase. In the search field, scanning means searching for an article. If you haven't chosen to be in the search field, you can simply scan, and the item will be added.
To add an item manually, click on its image/description in the Article Register.
This will open up the item's dedicated view.
Here, you can find further information about the item, such as multiple images, stock availability in the store, shelf location, and item description.

You can set the quantity of the item to be purchased. Press the "plus" and "minus" buttons to add or remove items, or enter the quantity using the keyboard.
You can also select a variant (size/color) from the dropdown if the item has variants. If the variant has its own price, it will be displayed in the dropdown.
To add the item to the sale, press "Sale." The item view will close, and the item will be added to the shopping cart.
Check Stock Availability
To see which other locations have the item in stock, click on the link for "Available Stock."
If the item is available at another location, you can click on the small "Shopping cart" icon, and the item will be added as a line item from that location. For more information on managing orders, go here: Handle Order
To close the stock availability view, click outside the window.
Add as a Return
If the item needs to be added as a return, click on "Return." Select the "Return Reason" and "Return Type," then press "Save." The item will be added to the shopping cart as a return. To return to the item overview without selecting the item, click on the "X" in the upper right corner.
